Accounts Receivable Cash Applications Specialist

Position Summary

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Cash Application Specialist that will be responsible for ensuring that all Customer accounts are up to date on their balances while investigating discrepancies. The incumbent will also resolve customer account inquiries regarding cash receipt and payment applications. At Sensience we offer a flexible work schedule with the ability to work from home up to two days per week.

Position Responsibilities

· Review remittance information

· Manual cash applications

· Ensure Customer accounts have updated balances

· Prepares Earned and Unearned Commission Reports

· Investigate discrepancies in cash receipts

· Assist on resolving customer account inquiries about payment application

· Maintain accurate records of all cash receipt activities

· Balance daily cash application against the bank account

· Collaborate and help collection team members with reconciliations and adjustments

· Request necessary credit and debit memos

Position Requirements

• A minimum of three (3) years of related experience in collections
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial colleagues
• Attention to detail
• Proficiency with MS Office tools including Advanced Excel Knowledge
• Ability to collaborate with large groups across geographies and functions
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or
