The Workforce Planning Analyst invests in the future of Southwest’s People by supporting the Position Management and Recruitment Extended Support Teams (REST) with the requisition creation process using various systems such as Workday. The Workforce Planning Analyst is a self-starter with a strategic mindset that will play a pivotal role in ensuring we provide detailed and accurate data reporting.

This role is a hybrid position based out of our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX, which requires Employees to work onsite on our Corporate Campus at least three days a week. The Department designates the specific three days of the week Employees must work on-site.

  • Partner with our internal sourcing team as it relates to number of requisition needed for recruiting and track future recruiting needs through Workday
  • Partner with TA to develop and improve TA hire projections
  • Perform user acceptance in Workday through testing, monitoring, and analysis
  • Workday or Talent Acquisition or HRIS
  • Responsibilities
  • Ability to initiate tasks, perform duties, respond to inquiries, and think independently without direction or supervision
  • Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Skilled in considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
  • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job

  • Reconcile authorized headcount with the HRBP and create processes to ensure accurate
  • Ability to stay organized and deliver high quality work, paying close attention to details under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Responsible for the success of Recruiters and Hiring Teams, by partnering with Talent Team to create job requisitions to help streamline the Workday recruiting process. Ensure correct positions are attached to job requisition in Workday with minimal supervision. Provide analytics for requisitions that helps TA & HRBP track current progress of requisitions for both direct and indirect Workforce. Work closely with Workforce planning to support position management through Workday positions creation, headcount tracking and headcount forecasts to support future business needs.

  • Experience
  • Utilize knowledge of Workday to produce necessary data as requested to support business analysis
  • Responsible for data governance of Workday data to ensure accuracy, consistencies, and maintaining consistent validation checks to ensure the integrity of human resource-related information
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Intermediate level experience, fully functioning broad knowledge in:
  • Provide support to TA as they proactively address resourcing requirements of people data throughout Workday for requisitions
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing Customer and personal services
  • Licensing/Certification
  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems
  • Physical Abilities
  • Preferred: Experience supporting position management and job requisition creation
  • Ability to tell or recognize when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong
  • Expert knowledge of analytical skills

Pay & Benefits

Competitive market salary from $76,500 per year to $85,000 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
