WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Innovate Scheduling: Analyze business needs and workforce planning activities to identify talent implications and opportunities to improve planning consistency and best practices. Evaluate market talent pool to create suggestions for schedules and efficient support models in the hospitals.
  • Build Effective Schedules: Automate schedules for hospitals and increase schedule effectiveness by creating & reviewing labor standards and drivers. Follow up with field leaders to ensure they are posting schedules within designed timelines. Collaborate with hospital leadership to fill shifts and maintain operations in the hospital. Work with the traveling teams (nurses and doctors) to ensure schedules are shared, entered into the scheduling platform and meet full time requirements.
  • Educate and Train: Produce/update training modules to educate end users on application procedures and best practices. Be the subject matter expert for our scheduling platform and provide individual training where necessary to support field needs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the Field to drive adoption to Workforce Planning tools and develop skill sets. Liaison with IT and other key stakeholders to drive VEG-wide initiatives.
  • Implement a Workforce Planning tool: to automate scheduling. Participate in system implementation and testing. Liaison across departments (Finance, IT, People). Manage the project from start to go-live!

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Travel: Willingness to travel within the local region to surrounding VEG Hospitals.
  • Technical: Experience with workforce management solutions/applications including payroll, time and attendance software. High level of customer service and communication skills
  • Vision: Strong execution experience with attention to details, while keeping focus on the big picture.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Systems, Finance or related discipline. Strong workforce advisor background with experience operating in a complex organization. 2+ years experience in workforce planning
