Quality Assurance Technician – 2nd shift

Two to three years job related experience in commercial industry

Associates Degree (Technical Diploma) or 2 years college course work in the HVAC field

State of Georgia HVAC License

Test products for production, conformance, qualification, and evaluation.

Experience in electronics and test equipment operation is beneficial.

Support multiple simultaneous product tests.

Setup and operate environmental, vibration, and electronic test equipment.

Setup and perform immersion, chemical, salt fog, and solar radiation testing.

Record and compile environmental test data.

Associates degree in a technical field with quality or manufacturing experience may be considered.

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes including business acumen and understanding assembly operations.

Provide support to operation team when quality issues arise to maintain production.

Lead problem solving to improve quality, safety and Takt attainment.

Partner with Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Operations to ensure that quality plans are established, followed, and that processes are capable.

Collect and communicate quality metrics, and communication of quality issues.

Support the Value Stream and Quality Manager with Key Process Quality measures on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis;

Demonstrate advanced measurement and inspection skills, including programming, troubleshooting, and application of assembly fixtures and measurement equipment;

Adhere to work standardization and associated training requirements

Complete quality requests to support the New Model Introduction teams with part measurements and analysis;

Perform First Article Inspections and Design Capability Studies as required;

Complete measurement equipment verifications, as required;

Demonstrated and documented mechanical knowledge, either personal or professional experience

Initiate correction request for discrepancies pertaining to DHR records, Times, Temperatures, documentation error, Quantity, etc.

Maintain spreadsheets for track and trend analysis (Samples, GDP, inspections, findings, etc.) Prepares basic/simple technical reports.

Maintain Good Record- keeping practices.

Perform data entry and operate the computer programs associated with component production, labeling, storage, and sample tube management.

Perform good inventory management practices throughout the manufacturing process.

Analyze and make decisions based on visual inspection and information provided from other departments to meet time requirements and quality standards.

Identify and quarantine products/samples that don’t meet quality requirements. Perform disposition of unacceptable products/samples.

Perform refrigeration, HVAC, boiler and hot water system PM’s.

Specific Job Duties and Tasks:

Place finished product on "HOLD" status when results fall outside of acceptable range, investigate potential causes, and propose solutions.

Assist in disposition of hold products through retest or providing sorting instructions to production.

Responsible for following all ISO 9001/22000 standards for the site to ensure that certification is maintained

Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements

College Degree or a minimum of 3 years applicable production/quality experience within the last 10 years in a food/beverage manufacturing site

Experience in the ISO 9001/22000 standard

Good communication skills including presentations, negotiations, meeting facilitation and producing written documents

Excellent working knowledge of the TTB regulations
