Specific Job Duties and Tasks:

Place finished product on "HOLD" status when results fall outside of acceptable range, investigate potential causes, and propose solutions.

Assist in disposition of hold products through retest or providing sorting instructions to production.

Test products for production, conformance, qualification, and evaluation.

Experience in electronics and test equipment operation is beneficial.

Support multiple simultaneous product tests.

Setup and operate environmental, vibration, and electronic test equipment.

Setup and perform immersion, chemical, salt fog, and solar radiation testing.

Record and compile environmental test data.

Perform data entry and analysis as required to maintain production logs or other data capture tools.

Document process deviations in EtQ system and report to the Quality Control Manager.

Must meet/comply with all safety requirements, attend required training and wear personal protective equipment where required.

Education: College/University (Bachelors or Equivalent); Chemistry, Chemical Engineering , Food Science or related science

Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience

Demonstrated written and oral communication skills

PROBLEM ANALYSIS SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE OF MICROSOFT OFFICE (EXCEL, POWER POINT, WORD), CAD (CATIA, AND AUTOCAD), TIME MANAGEMENT.

Can balance multiple priorities and clearly communicate project status to management and production

Lead department regarding calibration requirements. Maintain and monitor all DC tool calibration and schedules

No experience required if degree obtained, co-op preferred

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial and Robotics); or equivalent relevant experience

Maintain activity tracking database daily providing communication between shifts on important tool related issues

Assist with hands-on training of newly hired Technicians or Scientists 1 and 2 levels.

Intermediate proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Experience in a quality discipline

Previous quality experience in a manufacturing environment

Experience with inspection and product auditing processes

Heavy equipment machine assembly experience with tractors or excavators

Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation):

Minimum of three (3) years of pharmaceutical laboratory experience is required with some demonstrated project management or leadership skills and/or experience

Five (5)+ years’ experience in a laboratory setting preferred with leadership and/or project management included, preferred.

Collaborates with direct reports to identify and enable their skill and knowledge development.

Share scientific knowledge for the evaluation of compendial changes

Must be proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, and LIMS. Experience with SAP is preferred
