Sr Designer, Packaging - Too Faced

The Senior Designer, Packaging will play a pivotal role in developing innovative and visually stunning packaging designs that align with our brand's aesthetics and capture the attention of our target audience. You will report into and work closely with the Director, Packaging to ensure cohesive and strategic design solutions that effectively communicate our brand story and enhance the overall customer experience while adhering to strict budget and tight timeline. This role is highly creative and require the candidate to always be on top of industry trend and outside-the-box thinking. Your strong illustration skills will be crucial in developing captivating visuals that enhance the packaging concepts and tell our brand's story. Projects can range from packaging – primary & secondary, illustrations, social mailers, sampling programs, branded accessories, cosmetics bags and other design collateral.

This position is based at the Too Faced Corporate Headquarters in Irvine, California.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Packaging Development, Product Marketing, Product Development and Creative team-at-large to meet technical & budget requirements as well as brand & product strategy.
• Follow workflow and sign-off protocols to ensure final deliverables are error-free.
• Must design to strict timeline and stay within budget
• Design and develop packaging from concept to production.
• Prepare, package and spec files for all assigned projects.
• Create beautiful illustrations that enhance the packaging concepts and elevate visual storytelling.
• Ensure consistency with brand guidelines, visual identity, and product positioning.
• Stay updated on industry trends and conduct competitor research

Qualifications

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $71,000 to $106,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.

• 4-7+ years of relevant experience. In beauty or fashion is a plus!
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)
• B.A. or B.F.A. in Graphic Design or equivalent
• Strong Graphic Designer with an exquisite taste level & experience in Packaging Design.

Experience with 3D rendering software is a plus.

• Strong Typography Skills. Hand lettering a plus.
• Ability to illustrate in a style that complements/mimics the Too Faced Brand.
• Excellent presentation skills with the ability to articulate design and vision.
• Highly organized self-starter who understands how to balance multiple projects and keep projects moving.
• Team player (ability to work with immediate team members and cross functional partners)
• Knowledge in various packaging types, materials & production methods.
