3 - 10 years' of purchasing experience in homebuilding

Mastery of purchasing techniques: negotiating skills, budgeting, market analysis, risk management, price management

Manage the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing of materials and supplies.

Proven experience in purchasing and logistics coordination, ideally in a high-volume and seasonal business environment.

Excellent negotiation abilities to secure favorable terms, pricing, and contracts with vendors, while maintaining positive relationships and achieving cost savings.

Strong knowledge of advanced analysis in Excel. Knowledge of QuickBooks is preferred.

Develop and implement an effective procurement strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.

Contract management to include all aspects (e.g. administer, review, manage, file, evaluate, analyze, and negotiate).

Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.

Demonstrates effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Back up purchasing clerk to include ordering of supplies/goods, equipment and material, reviewing, and processing/issuing of purchase order.

Knowledge of purchasing policies processes, and procedures. Knowledge and ability to negotiate best vendor terms and pricing.

Communication skills– both verbal and written,

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Production/Operations Management, or Business or equivalent business experience

Project or Program management skills
