Position Summary:
Leads and performs all duties within the Amazon order logistics including, but not limited to:
oCoordinate and oversee all Amazon order logistics tasks; including picking, packing, staging, scheduling pick-ups, and solving for logistics and delivery issues.
oProvide support and daily collaboration with the Production, Customer Service, Quality, and other cross-functional teams.
oOrganize and lead warehouse staff regarding Amazon orders; keep worker safety a top priority.
oTrack and account for all picking, packing, labeling, and staging, following appropriate SOPs.
oConfirm proper and timely delivery of products to our internal customers.
oVerifies and enters product and shipment data into the Warehouse management system.
Amazon logistics supervisor will perform duties in accordance with industry-specific regulations, Global Food Safety Initiative Standards, Hazard Analysis, and Critical Control Points Certification. They will also be expected to follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, Quality Standards, performance expectations, and Workplace Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
·Responsible for reporting on food safety and/or quality problems.
·Ensure associates in the Amazon logistics team adhere to policies and procedures.
·Constantly identifying warehouse system improvements and communicating these to appropriate leaders.
·Moves inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from the warehouse, coordinates inventory transfers with related departments.
·Delivers supplies and equipment to departments by receiving and transferring items.
·Maintains staging area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.
·Has a clear understanding of the appropriate packaging procedures including but not limited to; packing, sealing, banding, labeling, and preparing products for shipping.
·Ability to use basic math to track inventory to verify customer shipping accuracy.
·Maintain an organized and clean working environment.
·The ability to coordinate with 3rd parties to ensure all expectations are met regarding shipment details and timeliness.
·Serves as backup for all warehousing functions.
·Ability to Load & Unload trucks for shipping/receiving.
·Proper detail and completion of customer order paperwork
·Ability to identify and anticipate order and operational needs in regard to Amazon orders.
·The ability to solve problems and communicate effectively up and down the warehouse vertical as well as with members of the sales teams.
·Understand FIFO and how it applies to orders.
·Must speak and write effectively in English (Bi-Lingual English/Spanish is preferred but not required) the ability to read documents in English, such as purchase orders, part identification sheets, and shipping documents.
·Ability to communicate clearly and tactfully with all levels of associates.
·Utilize initiative and good judgment skills to accurately accomplish duties with little or no supervision.
·Knowledge of LTL shipping using brokers as well as individual carriers.
·Forklift Trained
·Valid CA driver’s license
Personal Requirements:
·The Amazon coordination position requires the associate to stand, walk, lift, bend, and move about the facility (and shipping/receiving areas).
·The associate is regularly required to operate a computer software program.
·The associate is continuously required to reach with hands, and arms, and bend at the knees.
·The associate is continuously required to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; climb or balance; and stoop, or kneel.
·The associate must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
·High School diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
·Minimum of 3 years of experience in multiple departments in the warehouse.
·Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in a warehouse environment. Preference given to candidates that have worked in a GMP environment.
·Forklift License
·Experience working with WMS systems (NetSuite preferred)
·Knowledge of using MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
