Conduct quarterly reporting requirements to local senior management, Segment & Corporate

Provide strong auditing skills enabling the Division to meet its control testing requirements

Coordinate findings with department Management to ensure accurate reporting, proper remediation plans, and execution is instituted

Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes

2+ years’ experience in Government Finance within the Defense industry

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

Audit law firms within the legal network for client and regulatory compliance

Compile data from the law firms and perform reviews for accuracy and compliant work efforts

Review updates of policies and procedures and confirm law firms are complying with updates

Quotation experience to customers, Sales, account managers, overseas offices and agents

Act as filter between Sales / Account Managers, leading the pricing strategy of specific trade lanes (power lanes)

Ensure discipline in only quoting when minimum requirement for answers to qualifying questions has been met

5+ years minimum international sea freight FCL/LCL operations export or import knowledge.

Significant sea freight pricing (FCL/LCL, forwarding services) experience

Prior experience on pricing of multi-lane, multi-national RFQ’s

Responsible for researching problem freight that cannot be received at the distribution center/regional hub

Collaborates with key cross-functional teams (merchants, demand chain, distribution) to ensure problem freight resolution aligns with company policy and direction

Performs needed actions to create or adjust purchase orders, or otherwise dispense with problem freight

Identifies issues and opportunities as well as the appropriate action plan to support company financial goals

Ability to deliver expected quantitative and qualitative results

Ability to work cross-functionally and independently

Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

Have knowledge and become expert on HTS Code and any other shipping requirements.

May provide support and direction to less experienced team members.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

Implements and maintains pricing infrastructures related to export customs reporting.

Ensure shipments are tracked and traced, documented accurately, while keeping costs down collectively.

Experience with using logistics IT visibility platforms and tools to drive proactive management of ocean / air freight

Capable of working in a remote work group and being managed by a remote manager

Proactively measure and manage ocean freight capacity globally working with I/E procurement, carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and various sector representatives

8-10 years’ experience in transportation (ocean, air, international logistics required)

English fluency both written and verbal required; exceptional communication skills across global businesses (additional languages as an asset)

Experience directly leading cross-functional competencies, people, and teams

Salary offer $70,000 to $100,000 p/a (DOE)

Minimum of 3 years of experience in road freight sales, with a focus on LTL and FTL

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets

Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and lead generation

Maintain and grow existing customer relationships by providing exceptional customer service and support

Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel

Obtains hardcopy proof of delivery based on customer requirements

Knowledge of international ocean freight and /or ocean freight forwarding functions.

Experience with Ocean Import and Export Forwarding and business acumen, a plus

Prior experience in ocean freight forwarding and / or OTI transportation field

The candidate must also meet certain character requirements to render and lead OTI services

Note: Experience is considered professional if the job requires a bachelor's degree.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

Works with finance partners to ensure logistics costs get coded to the correct GL

Manages the operational relationship with our Freight Audit & Pay vendor

Must have 2-5 years of experience with Freight Audit & Pay and corresponding tools, additional experience in Logistics is a plus

Strong analytical skills with ability to conduct analysis on large quantities of billing data

Excellent spoken and written communication skills (verbal and non-verbal)

Basic knowledge of freight bill analysis, validation and freight classifications.

Well-developed problem solving and reconciliation skills, and the ability to work independently to resolve issues.

Detail oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills.

Advanced skills in Excel, with ability to summarize and present large volumes of data in a concise manner.
