A Workday QA (Quality Assurance) Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Workday applications, which are widely used for human resources, finance, and other enterprise functions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Define test objectives, scope, and resource requirements.
• Provide regular status updates on testing progress, including test execution metrics, defect reports, and overall quality assessment.
• Develop a comprehensive test strategy and plan for Workday projects, considering business requirements, project scope, and timelines.
• Lead and coordinate the execution of test cases.
• Identify and report defects and issues, including steps to reproduce and severity assessments.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using testing tools such as Selenium or other relevant tools.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely defect resolution.
• Maintain a repository of test artifacts for future reference.
• Ensure test cases align with business requirements and functional specifications.
• Identify opportunities for test automation to increase efficiency and repeatability.
• Conduct regression testing to ensure that new enhancements or configurations do not negatively impact existing functionality.
• Create detailed test cases, test scripts, and test data that cover all aspects of Workday application functionalities.
• Manage the defect lifecycle, including defect identification, documentation, prioritization, and resolution.
• Continuously update and expand regression test suites as the Workday application evolves.
• Communicate testing results to project stakeholders and management.
• Establish testing milestones and deliverables
• Execute manual and automated tests to validate Workday configurations and customizations.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in test management tools and test automation tools (e.g., KAINOS, Selenium).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of Workday functionalities, including HCM, Finance, and other modules.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven experience in QA testing, with at least [X years] of experience in testing Workday applications.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, collaborative team environment.
• Workday certification is a plus.
