Warehouse Manager - Florida

The role:

Oversee the daily operations of the Jacksonville warehouse to ensure customer satisfaction while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

What you'll do:

Manage team to ensure all orders are fulfilled on time, at an efficient cost, and with high quality

• Ensure all trucks are shelved in a timely manner (Ideally the day they arrive)
• Make weekly and daily plans to support estimated order volume with an appropriate staffing level
• Audit 20 packed orders per day and document any major or minor deviations to ensure high quality standards for our customers
• Lead daily kickoff meeting to communicate goals for the day and any relevant announcements
• Process return shipments and communicate with CX if needed
• Make sure all product is re-shelved and boxes are broken down
• Review employee hours and staffing schedule to minimize cost to operate facility (for example reduce any unnecessary OT and/or temp hours)
• Audit all inventory to make sure it is correct for restocking and picking purposes

Support team members

• Work with management and staffing agencies to recruit and hire new employees
• Communicate termination to employees when necessary and perform associated processes (PAFs, notify agency, notify manager, etc.)
• Ensure all employees have a safe and clean working environment
• Train employees in any area where they are expected to perform and provide frequently provide coaching to ensure employee continues to improve
• Maintain employees hours and all other HR needs
• Ensure employees are engaged by maintaining open and frequent communication. Also leverage feedback from quarterly engagement surveys to assess areas of focus for the team

Manage Facility

• Manage the day to day relationship with the property manager to address any miscellaneous needs that may come up. Escalate to superiors if necessary.
• Check ice levels and warehouse temperatures
• Oversee all issues involving equipment and functions of the warehouse, i.e. alarm system, HVAC unit, internet
• Walk the warehouse at start of shift to ensure prior day was closed correctly
• Check that all handheld scanners are charging
• Lock warehouse and set alarms
• Final walkthrough of the warehouse
• Make sure dumpster and recycling were picked up (usually picked up very early)
• Maintain a clean work environment and ensure proper procedures are conducted whether internal or external

Participate In Operations & Company Meetings

• Attend weekly Ops to meeting to stay on top on all information re: Nuts.com as a whole and relay relevant information to warehouse team

What You'll Bring:

• Experience using Google Sheets to communicate staffing rosters and operational checklists
• 3+ years experience managing employees including responsibilities for performance management
• Exceptional leadership and motivational skills. Someone who always upholds high performance standards while also gaining buy-in from employees
• Experience in ecommerce fulfillment preferred
