Position Title: VP, Product Security

Sprinklr is looking for a VP of Product Security to lead a world class security team. This leadership role will be responsible for defining the technical, process, and people strategy and vision for Sprinklr’s Application Security, Cloud Security, and security tooling programs. The VP will oversee the development and implementation of product security strategies across Sprinklr. You need to enjoy leading, managing, and working closely with other teams to overcome obstacles as a leader while building, breaking, consulting, educating, and assessing risk across a wide range of technologies and clouds. If you like going deep and broad at the same time and have previously worked in a security role, this opportunity will truly excite you. This role will report to the CISO and is a part of the central security team at Sprinklr.
The person joining this position will influence the company-wide product security program and roadmap through cross functional collaboration and guiding the product security team towards execution excellence.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with and support other peer functions such as D&R, Compliance, Legal & Privacy, Customer Trust, Program Management
  • Help in quick resolution of reactive security situations and propose short term and long-term remediation strategies.
  • Develop and nurture a strong working and trusted relationship with Engineering, Technical Operations and the Corporate IT team to create and collaborative execute a committed roadmap for security fixes and enhancements.
  • Lead, inspire, and nurture the product security team, and steer investment in security capabilities with a focus on reducing risk and enabling the business.
  • Drive Sprinklr’s Secure Software Development Lifecycle by driving strategic security improvements in addition to tactical remediations.
  • Understand, research, and internalize industry trends on vulnerabilities and security issues.
  • Identify common security design patterns and influence adoption of central secure platforms and solutions.
  • Roll up your sleeves in urgent or reactive situations.
  • Be a security advocate and subject matter expert within the organization and be able to effectively communicate security risk and concepts to both technical, non-technical audiences and to customers.
  • Identify new opportunities for security tooling and automation.
  • Drive accountability across teams responsible for delivering security solutions and remediations and escalate as required.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Excellent written / verbal communication and inter-personal skills
  • 15+ years of experience in application and infrastructure/cloud security and ability to define and execute the Product Security vision
  • 10+ years of leading, hiring, and managing strong technical teams and people managers.
  • Experience triaging, identifying and prioritizing security risk with a clear understanding of its impact to an organization. Experience with running a bug bounty program and interfacing with the external security community will be an added plus.
  • Deep understanding of security concepts with proficiency in web (OWASP Top 10) and public cloud security, and the ability to leverage this knowledge for improving the overall security posture of a modern SaaS company
  • Some experience in threat modelling, security code reviews with an eye to identify security flaws
  • Comprehensive experience in selecting, operating, and rationalizing security tooling for common security processes, including SAST, DAST, IAST, MAST, SCA, etc.
  • Deep understanding of security controls for modern architecture, especially AWS, Azure, GCP, and Kubernetes-based delivery platforms
  • Be a continuous learner and have the knack to learn new technologies, trends and concepts
  • Applicant should be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States to effectively support our federal business

Nice To Have
  • Past role as software developer or architect in large-scale, distributed software projects, preferably with cloud service providers (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS)
  • Experience implementing a DevSecOps program.
  • Applicable credentials (such as B.S./M.S./Ph.D. in a Security-related or analytic discipline, or industry certifications)
