Our client is a boutique commercial finance company located in Boston that is seeking a dynamic and experienced VP of Business Development to join their team. As the VP of Business Development, you will lead the charge in driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships, innovative sales techniques, and exceptional customer service. This is a permanent position that requires a candidate with 10+ years of experience with private equity firms or their portfolio companies in the equipment space.

Job Details


Responsibilities


  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and innovation
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and finance, to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve revenue growth targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and industry influencers
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through strategic partnerships, market research, and networking
  • Manage the sales team to ensure they meet or exceed sales targets and provide exceptional customer service
  • Develop and deliver presentations to senior management and key stakeholders to communicate progress and results


Qualifications


  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • Analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for growth and innovation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • 10+ years of experience in leveraging finance, leased equipment, private equity, business development, sales, and CRM software
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue growth targets and developing successful business development strategies
