About The Role


Hello Heart is seeking a talented Vice President, Consultant Relations who will play a critical part of our commercial team by developing and nurturing Hello Heart’s consultant relationships. The role will be responsible for managing the Consultant Relations team, building and maintaining key relationships in the consulting community, and ultimately growing our business through this critical partner channel. In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaboratively sell, support, partner and deliver the Hello Heart solution. Our team members must be willing to wear multiple hats and adapt to different situations as Hello Heart continues to grow and expand throughout the United States.


Responsibilities


  • Create purpose-built content (playbooks, cheat sheets, job aides, objection handling, FAQs, etc.) to improve solution knowledge and support the sales process and methodology focused on consultants.
  • Partner closely with Sales and Customer Success to identify risks and opportunities relative to our consultant relationships.
  • Effectively collaborate with members of cross functional teams (e.g. Customer Success, Partnerships, Strategic Alliances) to develop and deliver consultant facing messaging.
  • Lead a team of 2-3 Consultant Relations Managers/Directors, ensuring strong execution of overall vision and goals.
  • Optimize our investments in vendor programs (ex: Mercer VIP) and assist with responses to consultant sourced RFPs.
  • Directly facilitate key meetings with consultants to understand our differentiators and to drive excitement about our value proposition.
  • Nurture Hello Heart relationships with key influencers in the consulting community, to drive strong relationships and increase understanding about our capabilities.
  • Develop a broad strategy to grow Hello Heart’s relationship with consultants, identify critical projects in support of that vision, and align appropriate quarterly and annual goals in support of defined goals.
  • Identify and secure opportunities for formal partnerships.
  • Coordinate/participation in events sponsored by the consulting firms which further business development opportunities.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background and interest in healthcare and benefits consulting, relationships management, strategy, process development, program management, leading presentations externally and internally and negotiation. This role reports directly to the SVP Sales.

  • Experience in a high growth, fast changing environment
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Consultant Relations and business development, with 3 years of team management.
  • Excellent poise and presentation skills, strong writing skills
  • "Go-getter", driven to work in a growing company and help enable teams to sell a solution that gets quick results and can save lives
  • Previous tenure with a consulting or brokerage firm preferred
  • Existing strong network of H&W/benefits consultants
  • Experience leading Consultant Relations at another employee benefits or benefits technology provider.
