You join a relatively small team of extremely driven sales professionals as a Vice President of Business Development (aka “hunter”) in a fast-growing company. There are virtually no restrictions on territory and plenty of companies to prospect and call on. The competitive compensation package includes a solid base, great benefits, but more importantly for you, a simple and aggressive commission structure with tons of earning potential. Many of the sales professionals in the industry are account managers and farmers, and a true “hunter” with the right drive and focus could make a serious impact on sales. How successful do you think you can be?
Your responsibilities will include…
- Build a strong and effective pipeline, open new doors, and close deals by being a consultative partner and positioning MedSurvey as best-in-class to meet customer data collection needs
- Track and report key sales metrics on a regular basis, build and maintain accurate sales forecasts, and meet or exceed sales targets among agency and consulting firm clients
- Work collaboratively and cross-functionally within MedSurvey to build effective sales strategies that are tailored to customer needs and solve for pain points
- Set delivery teams up for success by clearly defining and articulating project scope and client expectations
- Effectively balance customer and MedSurvey needs that leads to business growth while ensuring a profitable business.
Qualifications
- Ability to travel to meet clients and attend industry events
- A passion for curiosity and learning and a drive to succeed
- Results-oriented, customer-centric mindset with great attention to detail
- Ability to manage complex challenges and address them head-on
- Ability to build positive and strategic relationships across all levels of an organization that influence buying decisions
- Ability to initiate client conversations and meeting through cold calling, cold emailing, and other outbound sales techniques
- Outstanding, impactful, and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong follow-through, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
- Proven track record of exceeding targets among agency and consulting firm clients
- Strong understanding of and experience in market research delivery and operations
- 5+ years of experience in the healthcare market research industry
- Inspired by setting stretch goals and putting in the work to achieve them
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to work autonomously to meet goals
