Overview

This exciting, innovative and heavily backed scale up are looking to build an end-to-end platform which bridges the gap for developers and investors to finance, build and operate distributed energy projects on a global scale. So far, they are facilitating over $1bn into the space.

About The Role:

The VP Finance will come in and help with the scaling that they need to undertake, working cross-functionally within the business, and multi-nationally with investors. The ideal candidate will gave experience working within a scaling software company, with experience working with investors, raising capital through multiple avenues and have a strategic mindset to navigate challenges that may present themselves through scaling.

• Protect company assets and reinforce sufficient governance through creating and continued improvement of processes.
• Ensure GAAP compliance through the implementation and improvement of accounting policies.
• Establish and oversee financial controls.
• Own and update the operating forecast model and run simulations based on potential changes to any core business lines.
• Support the executive team in Board communications and processes.
• Create new financing structures that meet investor needs.
• Ensure compliance on an accounting, statutory and legal basis across multiple jurisdictions.
• Manage relationships with banks as well as existing and future investors.
• Compare changes to forecast, budget and expenses from the previous year, constantly looking for new areas to improve.
• Design, implement and refine the credit model.
• Lead the process of raising capital through multiple avenues.
• Create the company’s fundraising strategy.
• Define appropriate portfolio quality metrics to enable monitoring, provisioning and management actions.
• Develop company forecasts, KPI metrics and cockpits, through cross functional collaboration
• Collaborate with the leadership team to create financing products that balance opportunity and risk.
• Lead FP&A function, including managing reporting (internal and external), metrics and key business levers.

Skills Needed:

• MBA required, CPA / CFA preferred
• Strong track record of upstream debt raising, downstream risk management in lending
• Scaling experience required
• Experience in building financial controls
• Relevant degree (finance, accounting, business etc)
• Minimum of 5 years experience in financial management of a company
• Experience taking a company from Series B funding to Series D
