IMO is seeking a Vendor Relationship Specialist who enjoys growing and managing relationships with key industry vendors that help enable IMO to serve over 750,000 clinicians daily. This is not a Security or Compliance role, rather one that is focused on understanding our vendors and their services, and how we can effectively and efficiently partner with them. That scope includes implementing and managing scorecard and evaluation techniques for selecting vendors, maintaining SLAs, and using that data to ensure the highest quality of service from vendors. You'll also work with internal business partners to support their specific needs and timelines. You’ll use your experience managing software and/or healthcare industry vendors to drive the success of the product management group. This role is highly visible, with the ability to inform strategy and impact business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Review the status and performance of the vendor relationship and contract to determine overall effectiveness and roadmap success.
  • Establish processes for vendor performance reporting and issue resolution.
  • Conduct Vendor Business Reviews, providing support to compliance personnel as it relates to the evaluation and management of risk related to third party entities, and their continued compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Oversee software vendor management process including measurement of vendor performance as it pertains to services provided, pricing and procurement. Responsible for ensuring processes are in place to monitor vendor performance against Service Level Agreements and key contract provisions.
  • Drive the continued development of our vendor management framework, ensure timely completion of critical milestones on our team roadmap and take ownership of high impact projects.
  • Partner with all non-IT Teams and Legal to review compliance, assess risk, negotiate business terms with vendors, and maximize price efficiencies.
  • Assist in defining and developing vendor management methods, governance standards, scorecards, processes and metrics for monitoring vendor performance against defined contract terms and overall vendor relationship management.
  • Guide strategy and execution of relationships in order to strengthen IMO's standing with vendors through partnership, pricing, and negotiation processes.
  • Lead Request for Information (RFI), Proposal (RFP) Processes, or contract negotiations as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to manage multiple projects & priorities, seamlessly moving between strategy & execution
  • Strong business acumen with ability to create and present cost benefit analysis proposals and advise stakeholders of various vendor options and scenarios; evaluate trade-offs and risks to arrive at optimal outcome.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 5+ years of experience managing vendor relationships in healthcare or Healthcare IT, with experience managing additional enterprise technology vendors preferred.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with experience influencing change across a dynamic organization
  • Strong dispute resolution and mediation skills to handle issue escalation and to drive mutually beneficial outcomes
  • High level of organization proficiency and detail oriented.
