Position Summary:
As Medicare Stars/OPCC/and PHSO's continue to grow and drive the transition from volume to value, the Vendor Support Specialist will be instrumental in supporting leadership by creating a transparent, organized method for reporting and escalating the value and solutions being provided by our vendor relationships. In addition to the necessary triaging, monitoring, and reporting provided by the Specialist. They will also be responsible for attending and facilitating vendor meetings, leading new functionality rollouts for Projects, and providing the return on investment for vendor and project initiatives. This position will also work with any customer service concerns and help cascade concerns to improve the member experience. There is also an opportunity for the Specialist to work closely with the leadership in the Medicare Stars and Care Coordination department to identify trends and areas of improvement. Standardize the relationship with vendors and improve the relationship and monitoring of vendor performance and Health Alliance.
Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree or Experience in Lieu of Education - Can substitute 5 years' experience in vendor management setting in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of three years of experience in a business or office setting. Excellent communication skills.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Ability to lead initiatives, facilitate relationships in and out of Health Alliance, and work closely with vendors and return on investment data. Must have strong knowledge of organizational and departmental policies, processes, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication skills and ability to create summarized materials for leadership meetings. Ability to work with autonomy. Computer literacy and excellent written and oral communication skills required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and possess problem solving skills. Excellent organizational skills. Experience with Outlook, Microsoft, Power Point and Excel. Contract and previous vendor experience would be preferred.
Essential Functions:
- Analyze vendor data and complete required reports for the health plan.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of internal and external education and communication around vendor services and processes.
- Request and/or assist in the development of correction action plans for standards that are not met by the vendor.
- Promote Customer Service relationships and mitigate complaints and risks between the vendor, members and Health Plan.
- Manage vendor utilization including work flows for coordinating services with the Health Plan.
- Attend meetings with vendor and document discussions, issues, attendees, action items.
- Create and manage vendor scorecard and associated ratings/correction plans.
- Coordinate with various cross-functional departments to educate and communicate expectations, performance and procedures to vendors i.e. sales team, RFP, etc.
- Coordinate with Population Health Management Oversight Committee team regarding vendor expectations, performance and procedures.
- Perform as a key account manager for the Health Plan to coordinate with high priority providers and vendors.
- Research and resolve claim disputes with vendor, member or provider issues and route to appropriate person(s) for resolution.
- Coordinate meetings and outcomes of monitoring/auditing to meet contractual regulatory or accrediting body requirements.
- Ensure operation integrity, including compliance with all policies and procedures for the Health Plan including adherence to state contract and guidelines.
- Facilitate and document vendor meetings. Primary contact for Customer Service/Member concerns with vendors.
- Analyze Return on Investment (ROI) on vendors.
- Report status updates for all vendors for RFP, contracts, etc.
- Educate our division on vendors and train the trainer activities.
- Track and Report progress on vendor issues.
- Attend all vendor meetings.
