The Program Manager provides a full spectrum of clinical services within the scope of his or her licensure. These services range from mental-health therapy to case management, serving a Veteran population. The Program Manager is responsible for providing the highest possible care to every client and team member served. This role can be complex, as this person must navigate between varying interests. For example, while client advocacy and rapport must be priorities, consideration must be given to the interests of funders, legal entities, and other stake holders. This role requires strong collaborative skills, as therapists work with various teams, including treatment teams and legal entities. The Program Manager assists the Director of Mental Health Services in other administrative tasks and works in concert with the priorities of the Senior Management Team, the Executive Director, and the Board of Directors. Strong interpersonal boundaries and a clear understanding of ethical responsibilities are a necessity for this position. The Program Manager supports the clinical team by performing oversight, administrative, and corrective responsibilities.

• Pay range $70,000-$85,000

Education And Experience

• Prior management experience is preferred.
• Experience in both substance abuse and mental health treatment field.
• A Master's degree and an active, unencumbered license in the State of Utah as a clinical mental health counselor, social worker, or marriage and family therapist is required.
• Experience working with a Veteran population is preferred.
• Veteran Status is preferred.

Duties To Include But Not Limited To

• Conducts Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder treatment for a portion of the program's Veteran clients.
• Works in concert with SLCVAMC liaison in order to provide the highest quality of client care.
• Oversees the Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder treatment for all of the program's Veteran clients.
• Ensures that team members are following up with clients regarding attendance, drug-test results, and more.
• Works in concert with program staff in coordinating and fulfilling on-call duties for after-hours client support.
• Oversees the coordination of court reporting requirements for justice partners, including the Veterans Justice Outreach Court
• Maintains assigned work schedule and monitors and manages clinical employee schedules, time-off requests, time card verification, and the time-off calendar.
• Assists Director of Mental Health Services in organizing client services schedule.
• Acts as a liaison between the clinical team and other departments, including the case managers, line staff, and admissions departments.
• Handles corrective actions with clinical staff as needed in an efficient and neutral way.
• Oversees Property Management activities and monitors census while working to maintain organizational census goals.
• Oversees adherence to program budget.
• Tracks client outcomes and reports outcomes to Director of Mental Health Services and other members of Senior Management.
• Oversees and coordinates on-call responsibilities, ensuring access to after-hours emergency care (an agency-issued phone is provided).
• Gives regular feedback to the supervised team and ensures team members are performing essential job responsibilities using timely and effective feedback.
• Oversees updates to group and class schedules.
