ACT Nurse

About your Role:
Serves as a member of the multi-disciplinary Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team. The ACT Nurse is responsible for providing ethical quality, direct services to those with complex, severe and persistent mental illness. The ACT Nurse provides culturally competent, medically necessary, treatment, rehabilitation, and support services to FPS consumers and collateral supports in compliance with Mental Health Rehabilitation Services (MHRS) and federal regulatory standards. The ACT Nurse provides services in the home, community and the office. ACT is a 24/7, team approach providing services 365 days a year. The ACT Nurse provides services in the community that are consistent with core operating principals of professional nursing ethics, State, and regulatory guidelines.
Does the Following Apply to You?

• This position requires daily local travel.
• An Associate’s degree in Nursing is required with one year of psychiatric experience.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• A DC Nursing license is required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred. Has a minimum of two years of nursing experience and one year of specialized psychiatric experience, preferred.
• Has knowledge of and experience in implementing MHRS regulations, policies and procedures, preferred.
