As the Learning and Development Specialist, reporting to the Director of Learning and Development, the ideal candidate brings creativity, autonomy, and an ability to influence others; these are central as we continue to build our learning culture.


Although this position supports learning initiatives across the organization, you will initially partner with the sales team, including sales leaders, to assess, design, and deliver training solutions aligned to organizational goals. You are a confident and skilled facilitator with a background leading program with specific focus on sales team and sales leadership development. You will collect feedback on sessions from participants and leverage it to enhance our programs.


Major Areas of Responsibility:


  • Develop and administer assessments at each sales tier training level to properly build and engage the sales team.
  • Facilitate leadership training and coaching skills programs.
  • Expand, develop, and deliver training programs with robust sales content for a varied audience that increases customer engagement and sales proficiency.
  • Oversee and maintain sales training materials and procedures in an accurate and timely manner to support the team and functions of the department. Revise training procedures and related documentation as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with sales leadership to onboard and train new sales representatives in the most effective way possible.
  • Create and deliver customized learning modules to meet long and short-term needs of various sales roles for use in the classroom or virtually.
  • Coordinates/communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate, to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.
  • Prepare a monthly/quarter sales training dashboard of results to evaluate performance or developing training.
  • Keeps Director of Learning and Development informed of important developments, potential problems, and related information necessary for effective management.
  • Serve as advisor to our employees by answering their questions and concerns.
  • Proactively provide recommendations that align with business strategies.
  • Keep yourself updated about sales training developments.
  • Develop training activities such as role plays, discussions, and different exercises to strengthen the team’s skills.
  • Internally market and support sales enablement programs.
  • Governs, adds, and maintains all content which includes leveraging online courses, curriculum assignments, learning plans, and notifications.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to identify and support coaching efforts in areas of opportunity.
  • Manages the logistics of sales training programs and learning deliverables to include course assignments, setting up and assisting with Zoom training sessions, and recording event attendance.
  • Analyze needs of various roles and develop innovative and creative training solutions.

Qualifications:


  • Demonstrated ability to assess, design, develop, and facilitate learning solutions through collaboration within a sales function.
  • Working knowledge and experience in Instructional Design, use of assessments, and evaluation of training programs for adult learners.
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team setting, while managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation and communication skills.
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, able to effectively engage small- and large-scale audiences with diverse backgrounds.
  • In-depth knowledge of sales process’ and best practices.
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to participate in initiatives according to business needs and strategy.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills, along with creativity and professionalism, to address issues.
  • Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success.
  • 2+ years of a proven and successful sales track record preferred.
  • Certification, extensive training and/or other related licenses in Training and Development preferred.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost judgment and discretion.
  • 4+ years in training and development, with experience designing learning solutions in a fast-paced, high-performing organization. Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry a plus.
