Overview:

This internship will show you how UI/UX operates commercially – how the UI is developed, implemented, and tested. The intern will work with and alongside the design team in developing the interfaces for new and existing products and services. At the end of the internship, the intern will understand how UX, Product, and Engineering interact, and the processes that support UX development.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the enhancement and refinement of the organization's design system and processes.

• Support the planning and execution of usability research to optimize user experience and interface design.
• Participate in design team critiques, providing valuable feedback and contributing to continuous improvement.
• Participate in-person or remote user research via surveys, interviews, focus groups, usability tests to help inform design decisions.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and marketers, to ensure seamless integration of design elements.

Job Requirements:

• Strong visual design characteristics with attention to detail
• Working knowledge of design and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma, Adobe XD, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Pursuing a degree in Product Design, Graphic Design, UX, HCI, or related field
• Strong problem-solving skills

Essential Job Functions:

• Self-motivated and has a desire to learn
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Duration:

• 8 – 10 weeks (May to July)
• Part time (30+ hours/week)
