Reporting to the Head of Technology & Product, the Training & Development Specialist role provides the opportunity to engage with key decision makers and manage relationships within the organization, while creating, planning and running training programs within the company.

Position Summary:The Training & Development Specialist must have strong technical expertise, and the necessary knowledge to understand, and help implement technology solutions for the organization. He/she must be able to work with a wide range of people and communicate on many levels. Other important characteristics include analytical thinking, and strong organizational skills. The Training & Development Specialist is ultimately responsible to provide training and education on our CRM and other technical systems for Northrop & Johnson’s CRM (Dynamics 365). The successful candidate is not necessarily a technologist, but a person with a good understanding of how a CRM should and can be utilized across the organization. He/she should have the skills to use online technology, show creativity, initiative, and excitement about the possibilities of education to our user base on the CRM. The candidate should be an advocate for the CRM within the organization and help to appropriately expand its use as the go-to person for users. The Training & Development Specialist is someone capable of effectively communicating complex technical information to a variety of audiences, as well as adapting training materials and delivery methods accordingly.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create new N&J-Center Training material or update existing material by describing informational needs, submitting initial versions for review, revising, and editing final copy.
- Evaluate and configure CRM system and provide detailed end user documentation.
- This position will be the liaison for Northrop and Johnson in developing tools to improve efficiency, having existing tools optimized, and providing related training for all team members. This is an in-office, full time position.
- Work with the entire organization as a champion; train people to ensure the CRM is understood by new and existing users; and help the system to grow and evolve.
- Assesses various options for optimizing and customizing the system to help the system grow and evolve.
- Mentor and lead department champion huddles
- Attends regular meetings with support staff and various team members to review upcoming issues, items, and training.
- Responsible for the development of staff which will involve the requirement, development, coordination and presentation of training staff and review documentation of procedures shared with the employees.
- Perform the planning, coordination, and presentation of internal/external training programs including creating, editing, organizing, and maintaining, materials.
- Design and develop courses and test plan for end-users.
- Provide leadership around development and management of knowledge and expertise. Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) related to our CRM
- Provide initial training to all team members (On-boarding, Refresher courses, etc.)
