SUMMARY
Bath & Body Works is looking for a Toxicologist to join our team! This role is accountable for managing all aspects of safety science within assigned product categories and/or brands. The Toxicologist will be responsible for the overall safety assessments from raw material to finished product following a brand-centric model. The associate will be the key subject matter expert for the assigned areas of toxicology as well as having thorough knowledge of safety requirements for specific countries assigned.
REPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for staying current on risk assessment principles, safety position on ingredients, and new trends in animal alternatives
- Accountable for delivering up-to-date safety assessments for raw materials and finished product for the categories/brands assigned
- Represent Global Product Safety at product development meetings to provide safety support of new and existing product development
- Collaborate with key cross-functional partners including Product Development, Fragrance Development, Commercialization, Regulatory, and Clinical to provide safety-related support
- Serve as the single point-of-contact for all product safety related matters related to raw materials and finished product within the brand or categories assigned
- Optimize work processes to drive greater efficiency and alignment with cross functional partners
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- This position will be based in New York, NY
- Ability to establish internal and external collaborative relationships
- Attention to detail and accuracy of work
- Strong project management skills and ability to work independently
- 0-2 years of experience in personal care/cosmetics or related industry or a M.S. degree with 2-3 years of experience and is used to a fast-paced working environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
EDUCATION
- A Ph.D. in Toxicology, Pharmacology, or related majors
