We are seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and results-driven Ticket Sales Manager to join our dynamic team at the first women's professional soccer team in Tampa, Florida. As the Ticket Sales Manager, you will be pivotal in driving revenue growth through ticket sales and leading a team of sales representatives to achieve exceptional results. This position offers a competitive base salary with the potential to earn substantial annual bonuses and commissions, providing an excellent opportunity to showcase your sales expertise and passion for sports – especially the beautiful game.
The Ticket Sales Manager will collaborate closely with the entire department and organization to ensure cohesion and synergy. Cultural fit and the proven ability to operate independently at an elevated level are essential. The person will serve as the first escalation point for their team members and assist when called upon for customer service resolutions. In addition, the Ticket Sales Manager will be responsible for various special projects that drive revenue and create departmental efficiencies.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with existing and potential ticket buyers, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction to build a loyal fan base.
- Sales Collateral: Develop and maintain sales collateral, including brochures, presentations, and digital materials, to support the sales team's efforts.
- Ticket Sales Leadership: Develop and implement innovative sales strategies to drive deposits and ticket sales for regular-season games, special events, potential playoffs, and tournaments. Motivate and lead the sales team to achieve and exceed individual and collective sales targets.
- Marketing Collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute effective promotional campaigns, leveraging various channels to maximize ticket sales.
- Budget Management: Ensure that all sales initiatives operate within budget constraints while focusing on achieving revenue goals.
- Game/Event Night: Expected to attend and work all home games for the regular season and potential playoffs. In addition, attendance and leadership at sales events or other prospecting events are required as assigned. For the first year, this is anticipated to be approx. 50-75 events.
- Sales Reporting: Regularly monitor and report on sales performance, providing comprehensive insights and recommendations for improvement to executive leadership.
- Revenue Forecasting: Analyze market trends, ticket sales data, and attendance figures to forecast revenue and set ambitious but achievable sales targets.
- Training and Development: Coach and train sales representatives on effective sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer relationship building.
- Develop Ticket Platform: Develop and promote season ticket packages, VIP experiences, and other premium offerings to enhance customer engagement and revenue generation.
•Community Engagement: Participate in community outreach programs and networking events to enhance the team's presence and grow the fan base.
Essential Duties & Expectations
- Development and accountability of monthly standards for team members.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
- Hire and lead full-time staff and manage their daily workflow.
- Develop a weekly staffing schedule to ensure proper hourly coverage.
- Responsible for ongoing coaching and professional development of staff.
Qualifications & Experience
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- System is preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience in customer service and sales performing the essential duties listed
- Above within the sports and entertainment industry.
- Ability to strategize and forecast future results using data and analytics.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Sports Management, or related field preferred
- Ability to create and present effective presentations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with multiple audiences.
- Ability to build strong and collaborative relationships with staff.
- Self-motivated, with ability to work with little direct supervision.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience managing, coaching, and hiring staff preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to prioritize and manage numerous projects simultaneously.
- Creative and enthusiastic daily approach to inspire teammates.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and CRM. Social media, Archtics, and TM based ticket
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment and as part of a team.
