Job Description
Rowan’s HR Team has an immediate, entry-level opportunity for someone ready to learn public university hiring and onboarding processes.


Summary


  • Under the supervision of the Talent Acquisition Manager, under Classification and Staffing, this position is responsible for inputting job postings and other aspects of the hiring processing for Rowan University main campus temporary, part-time, hourly worker assignments.


Job Duties


  • Answers routine inquiries received via phone, personal visit, email, and voicemail; to assist departments with their temporary, part-time, hourly workers.
  • Help the team process the new fiscal year renewal process of temporary, part-time, hourly workers.
  • Compiles new hire data to be sent over to the HRIS team.
  • Performs additional general office duties (i.e. maintain files and records and confirms completeness and accuracy of submitted I-9 documents)
  • Enters background checks into online system as directed.
  • Works with other members of the Compensation and Staffing team to help process information and data into the applicant tracking system.
  • Coordinate with the members of the Compensation and Staffing team to ensure the forms are processed in a timely fashion.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Maintains all aspects of the temporary, part-time hourly worker assignments.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Previous general office experience
  • Knowledge of integrated information systems, i.e. Banner
  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software and the ability to operate Windows Office software applications
  • Strong data entry, customer service, and organizational skills.


Pay Rate


  • $18.00 to $19.00 per hour (depending on experience)


Hours


  • This temporary, part-time position is assigned no more than twenty-five (25) hours per week and is not to exceed 944 hours per fiscal year. Work is contracted annually to coincide with the fiscal year and is contingent upon budget appropriate
