Responsibilities
Develop the school's vision:
Collaborate with the Teaching & Learning Team to successfully develop and implement instructional priorities at the school site(s).
Foster a resilient and hopeful environment by promoting organizational rituals and cultivating strong relationships among staff.
Contribute to the development of organizational goals and objectives aligned with the school's vision, mission, and values.
Work closely with the Instructional Leadership Team (ILT) to coach teachers and support the strategic plan in alignment with the school's vision.
Foster a Culture Of Excellence And Collaboration
Cultivate a sense of teamwork, collaboration, and excellence among staff, teachers, students, and families.
Collaborate with Community School Coordinators to leverage community resources and enhance classroom experiences.
Facilitate effective communication channels, such as action plans, sustainability plans, and a monthly electronic newsletter.
Utilize Data Analysis
Lead data analysis efforts to assess student achievement and contribute to goal-setting and action planning.
Support the school in creating a data-driven culture and professional learning communities (PLCs) through data-informed decision making.
Collaborate with teachers to implement a continuous cycle of professional growth tailored to student needs.
Collect and incorporate student feedback to inform policies and practices.
Facilitate Professional Development
Collaborate with instructional support staff, coordinators, coaches, and teachers to strengthen instruction in all core content areas.
Plan and facilitate common planning periods, fostering collaboration among lead teachers, department chairpersons, and school instructional teams.
Utilize coaching models and strategies to support teachers in implementing research-based instructional practices aligned with standards.
Design and deliver dynamic, sequential professional development sessions to support consistent implementation throughout the school year.
Apply adult learning theories and principles when coaching school-based professionals.
Implement Coaching And Support
Provide classroom coaching, teacher consultation, and leadership coaching.
Engage school administrators and staff in reflective and supportive consultation to promote sustainable trauma-informed practices and partnerships.
Offer individualized, classroom-based coaching to help teachers build supportive relationships with students and implement effective trauma-informed instruction.
Provide ongoing technical assistance to assigned school sites through virtual and written communication.
Participate in evaluation activities associated with the project.
Requirements
Valid California teaching credential.
Minimum of 5 years of full-time content teaching experience in secondary schools.
Preferred Single Subject ELA Credential.
Familiarity with Cognitive Coaching and/or Adaptive Schools training is desirable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in a related field such as education, literacy, or math.
Experience with the implementation of Trauma-Informed Instruction and Social Emotional Learning (SEL).
Skills And Qualifications
Proven project planning experience to support students' academic success through parent engagement, school collaboration, and social-emotional health.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong interpersonal skills.
Experience developing and delivering professional development training for faculty, utilizing various strategies and methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate collaboration among diverse teachers and staff members.
Track record of success working with students and families from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships and build trust with school-based staff and community partners.
Skilled in group facilitation, team management, organizational dynamics, and consensus building.
Cultural awareness and sensitivity in addressing issues of race, equity, and social justice in an educational context.
Comfort with using technology tools to support remote staff, such as distance learning technologies and virtual meeting platforms.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and solve problems in high-pressure situations.
Excellent analytical, time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge and/or experience with positive organizational change management.
Disposition
Experience working with students of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
Effective team player with the ability to build rapport and positive relationships with students, parents, and the wider community.

Licensing And Certifications
Daily driving may be required. Must have a valid driver's license, access to a vehicle, and proof of California's minimum vehicle insurance coverage.
Negative tuberculosis screen required.
Successful completion of a criminal background check.
