Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Human Resources Talent Management is seeking a Talent Management Specialist with a desire to be part of a dynamic team committed to building a world class Talent Management function for the University. This position is responsible for a variety of activities within the Performance Management and Organizational Development spaces, including:

  • Facilitating online training sessions to managers and employees to support their engagement in the University-wide performance management review cycle
  • Streamlining departmental processes re: standard operating procedures and content management
  • Coordinating activities for requested programs, coaching engagements and assessments
  • Creating web content, emails, job aids, forms, and templates in order to promote the performance management review cycle milestones and bolster understanding of how to maximize its benefits
  • Establishing and maintaining reports and dashboards to monitor program activity and evaluation data
  • Leading the 360-degree feedback assessment process from start to finish, including facilitating sessions and managing the LPI system

This position will be expected to work with a variety of software products including: Cornerstone (learning management system), Workday, Zoom, and Microsoft 365.

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The successful candidate must demonstrate professionalism and possess:

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both oral and written

This position is located at the Penn State University Park campus located in State College, a university town in central Pennsylvania. State College offers a vibrant community with outstanding recreational facilities, a low crime rate, and excellent public schools.

This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.
