ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for an experienced Talent Development Specialist to join our Talent Development (TD) team. As a member of the (TD) team, the Talent Development Specialist is responsible for creating, designing, developing, delivering, and evaluating employee learning and talent development programs, including the onboarding of new employees.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Audits current processes and proposes new solutions that minimize manual tasks
  • Guides learners participating in programs such as new hire onboarding, facilitator-led courses and microcourses, leadership development, external content partner programs, and 360 skill diagnostics
  • Plans and writes content about talent development programs for a variety of internal communications channels
  • Coordinates course schedules, registrations, inquiry management, and learning evaluation
  • Manages and conducts analysis on TD programs, including attendance (and activity tracking through the LMS), learning hours completed, and evaluations of learning programs
  • Creates and maintains internal process documentation
  • Supports the creation of content for various TD initiatives, including live online sessions, surveys and assessments, learner materials, and eLearning modules
  • Virtually facilitates live sessions for learning workshops and employee orientation
  • Partners with the Manager, Talent Development, and the Risk & Compliance team to select, create, edit, launch and monitor compliance training modules; tracks adherence and drives for 100% completion
  • Serves as the in-house expert in the learning management system (LMS), including administration, reporting and analytics
  • Manages the TD inbox in a timely, professional, and positive manner, acting as the face of function


QUALITIES OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

Formal Education and Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Intermediate proficiency in learning technologies such as e-learning authoring tools, media creation and editing tools, learning management systems, content libraries, and learning experience platforms
  • Intermediate proficiency of Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, Outlook)
  • Experience delivering in-person and live virtual session for employees, leveraging digital tools such as PowerPoint, Zoom and Microsoft Teams
  • 3+ years of experience in a Learning & Development or Talent Development role or equivalent educational qualifications, such as a degree, diploma, and/or certification in the field of adult learning, training and development, and/or instructional design.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and learning design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups and the measurement of outcomes
  • Experience creating and maintaining internal process documentation
  • Experience and ease with working in a hybrid or entirely virtual environment; When working remotely, the ability to limit distractions, present to large groups virtually, be camera-ready, and have a strong internet connection

  • Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, Outlook)
  • A track record of delivering polished “soft skills” training on professional development topics such as interpersonal relationships, communications, and personal productivity
