Systems Analyst Jobs

SUMMARY:\ Performs the primary technical network and systems infrastructure support functions. This includes planned and emergency maintenance, performance and security analysis, and monitoring, tuning, and implementation of new products and procedures. Analyzes emerging technology and makes recommendations for increased server and network services and capabilities.\ \ ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and install enterprise software such as MSSQL, Active Directory, email, data backup, antivirus, anti-spyware, networks and accounts, Solar Winds, Lync and Share Point;
• Analyze and repair microcomputer hardware, peripherals, network hardware and infrastructure, power backup/conditioning/protection (UPS) equipment and data center monitoring equipment;
• Analyze, isolate and repair local hosts, LANs and WANs using current test equipment and software;
• Install network and computer hardware including microcomputer hardware, peripherals, servers, switches, routers, UPS, SFPs, etc.;
• Develop and maintain systems documentation for installed networks and systems using Visio.
• Provide training and support as needed in the use of networks, network applications, enterprise applications and computer systems;
• Install and maintain software including operating systems, databases, network servers and network applications;

\ \ QUALIFICATIONS:

Completion Of a Bachelor Degree In Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Or a Related Field With An Additional Three To Five Years Of Direct Experience Within The Area Of Listed Essential Functions Or Any Combination Of Relevant Experience Which Provides The Following

Training or certifications may be substituted for experience if applicable to listed essential functions.

Physical Exam Required

• Critical Infrastructure:*This position has been determined to have close contact with, or control of Critical Infrastructure components.*This position is subject to extensive background checks and random drug screening. ****
• No Class A Misdemeanor, Felony Convictions or Family Violence Conviction****
• No Class B Misdemeanor convictions within last 10 years***

\ \ \ KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:\ Knowledge of:

• Peripheral and end-user devises including printers, print servers, mass storage devices and smart phones;
• Hardware, software, operating systems and networking protocols;
• Productivity and utility software including Microsoft Office, web browsers, email clients, antivirus clients, network scanning tools, network performance tools, network sniffers.
• Microsoft Windows operating systems, Linux, Active Directory and TCP/IP;
• General network fiber specifications, SFP+s and SFPs;
• General network wiring specifications;

Ability To

• Learn new things quickly and relate those to both trained and non-computer professionals.
• Communicate effectively using a variety of methods and devices;
• Analyze logs, network traces and firewall rules and troubleshoot issues;
• Work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment;
• Plan and organize workload, and accomplish tasks with minimum supervision;
