Works directly for the Department of Marketing and Computer Information Systems by providing highly advanced administrative support. Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work and teaching requirements indicate. Requires the ability to teach and/or work remotely at the University’s discretion.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Coordinates with the Administrative Coordinator in the Deans office to support college-wide activities.
  • Coordinates daily office support activities and administrative interactions. Assists in the coordination of daily workflow and the resolution of complex, highly sensitive, and confidential matters.
  • Assist and support other College of Business departments and the Dean’s office as needed.
  • Provide organizational planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Coordinate with various non-academic units to support the department and the college.
  • Coordinate and assist departmental student organizations with recruiting and service activities.

  • Coordinates the maintenance of files, records, office supplies, or equipment. Makes recommendations for process improvements, administrative changes, or new initiatives.
  • Develops procedures for complex or specialized functions. Responds to inquiries and interprets rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. May monitor compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to help hire, train, and supervise student workers graduate assistants, and support staff.
  • Must be able to build, monitor and manage departmental semester schedules in coordination with the department head.
  • Coordinates travel arrangements and prepares itineraries. Coordinates meetings, seminars, and other special events.
  • Maintains a variety of fiscal, administrative, and academic records. Verifies, processes, and reviews forms, reports, tables, and other documents. Performs special analyses and project summaries.
  • Researches and analyzes administrative requirements for specific programs or projects. Provides technical information regarding administrative procedures, services, or programs.
  • Support the faculty in the department with various day-to-day tasks.


Minimum Requirements


  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
  • Ability to work independently once given a project.
  • Five years of related experience.

The target base hourly compensation is $15.57 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
