Job Description

The GIS Analyst will be analyzing, reviewing, and compiling data collected from field crews. Data will include smoke bomb tests, water dye tests, water flow monitoring, CCTV footage and more obtained from water and sewer systems. This person will use databases, ArcGIS, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and other propriety programs to the water/wastewater industry to compile, update and analyze important data.

Responsibility Summary - GIS Data Analyst

  • Identify problems with data and propose solutions to correct persistent problems.
  • Review CCTV footage from a quality assurance perspective to make sure the data points put in by the Field Technicians are accurate
  • Analyze data for calibration, trends, patterns, and outliers; using graphical and statistical analysis.
  • Assist in final report preparation; producing work of professional quality, accurate and timely.
  • Perform data analysis and review on information obtained by the field crews pertaining to the wastewater infrastructure

Qualification Summary - GIS Data Analyst

  • Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
  • Strong mathematical and analytical reasoning skills.
  • Experience conducting data analysis for underground utilities.
  • Proficiency with commonly used software programs; specifically, Microsoft Excel and Access
