Description:
The Support Specialist will play a vital role in the service desk team at Accelerate Education, responsible for delivering excellent customer service, support, and technical assistance to end users (administrators, teachers, learning coaches and students) in a professional and efficient manner, using a variety of communication channels, phones and computer applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strong computer trouble shootings and technical skills.
- Strong learning management platforms and API knowledge.
- Strong ability to analyze issues and solve problems.
- Communicate effectively.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Knowledge and experience of K-12 Education.
Position Requirements:
- Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or university is preferred; or three to four years related experience and/or training.Equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least two years of LMS experience in a role as system support or admin.
Experience:
- Excellent telephone and customer service skills, able to provide remote customer service aiding basic troubleshooting; ability to handle a high volume of work in a short period of time, handle multiple priorities simultaneously and operate in a busy work environment.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve LMS and computer technical issues remotely and effectively.
- Strong organizational skills, able to take initiative and work with limited supervision.
- Ability to work with a variety of personalities especially clients experiencing frustration with technology or course issues.
- Able to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and projects to a successful and punctual conclusion.
- Proficient with use of multiple computer systems, LMS, API and applications. Proven ability to quickly learn new software programs and technical internal processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Able to communicate professionally and be adept at maintaining a positive, friendly demeanor when working under pressure. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to exercise substantial judgment, work with limited supervision and in a cooperative team environment; ability to collaborate with colleagues to solve issues when needed.

This employee reports to the Support Manager.
