Supply Chain Director (Remote)

We spend a lot of time thinking about our products and all the solutions that they can provide from beauty, sleep, hair, skin, wellness and sustainability; and we’re just getting started. We have presence in NYC and Raleigh / Durham but we're building a totally remote team. All employees need to be based in the US.

As we scale our team, we’re hiring a Supply Chain Director to drive end-to-end supply chain efficiency, maximize margins and ensure a best-in-class customer experience. Reporting to our COO, you’ll own all aspects of demand planning, inventory management, manufacturing, and vendor relations. You’ll hire, onboard and lead a high performing, remote team responsible for inventory management across our 2 fulfillment centers. You’ll collaborate with the leadership team to develop a longer term roadmap for system integration between our homegrown back end systems and the ERP/WMS systems of our customers and vendors. Responsibilities:

• Develop a core understanding of the business cost drivers and their impact on operations, customers and competitors
• Manage procurement activities, track weekly purchase orders and work closely with vendors to support on-time delivery while optimizing cost and inventory
• Manage our global vendor relationships including manufacturing, logistics, and 3PL partners
• Ensure the successful launch of new products by ensuring cost, quality, and inventory requirements are met
• Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain
• Oversee all supply chain operations and activities from the factory to the end customer
• Hire, onboard, and lead a high performing team; assigning tasks and providing oversight
• Develop strategic plans to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations

Requirements

• Strong contract negotiation skills, persuasive techniques and ability to control costs
• 8+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, and logistics, with a strong track record in leading CPG, consumer product, or wellness product companies
• Articulate communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively
• Excellent organizational skills, teamwork, leadership development, lean/problem solving and communication capabilities
• Experience developing global logistics/distribution for both wholesale retail and DTC e-commerce businesses
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and a critical thinker who can work through complex business issues and make decisions quickly
• Strong business acumen with both strategic skills and the ability to implement and execute
