The Opportunity:


We are looking for an analytical, organized, and experienced Director of Supply Chain to oversee and scale the company’s omnichannel operations and logistics across DTC, Amazon, retail, and dropship. You will work cross-functionally throughout the organization, reporting directly to the VP of Operations and working closely with all stakeholders around product, merchandising, and growth. You will manage and scale an in-house team dedicated to executing logistics and supply chain operations. You will be an instrumental member of the decision-making team, expanding the operational foundation and systems for Caraway’s continued growth.


Who You Are:


The ideal candidate has experience building and scaling consumer goods companies in multiple distribution channels across North America, international a plus. In addition, this candidate should have deep experience working with Shopify, ERP software (Fulfil strongly preferred) and logistics systems such as Anvyl, Flexport, and have a strong understanding of technical workflows from procurement through to fulfillment. The ideal candidate should have a passion for coaching and developing their team to deliver A+ work, is very organized, Great team player, and a critical thinker. We’re looking for someone that will learn to adapt into what Caraway has built and support the continued growth through their own experience and skillset.


Responsibilities:


  • Maintain and develop retail and dropship operations with partners such as Target, Costco, Crate & Barrel, etc.
  • Lead the Amazon FBA & FBM inventory strategy and function
  • Travel to various distribution centers within the US a few times a year
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for six-figure annual savings in operational costs
  • Conduct and lead all RFP processes in collaboration with the relevant in-house team members
  • Manage all supply chain and logistics functions, including but not limited to: purchasing, production, inventory management, demand planning, warehousing and fulfillment operations
  • Establish monthly reports for Supply Chain P&Ls to track overall objectives
  • Oversee supply chain workflows, rules, and accuracy of our ERP, Fulfil.io
  • Strategic and tactical contact for our 3PL and logistics’ partners, supporting business expansion, contract negotiations, and redundancy plans
  • Manage and develop an internal team of 8 (direct & indirect), and provide growth opportunities through exposure, coaching, and training


Knowledge, skill, and abilities:


  • Preference for and experience in a high-growth consumer products company or physical product startup
  • Highly adaptable and open to new ways of achieving objectives
  • 3+ years of experience as an Associate Director, Director or other senior management position managing a team of at least six people
  • A passion for high-quality kitchen products!
  • Humble entrepreneurial leader who collaborates effectively
  • Strong analytical skills and Excel skills with a data-driven approach to problem-solving
  • Deep knowledge of operational systems such as Shopify, ERPs (Fulfil.io preferred), Anvyl, Flexport, EDI and Amazon Seller Central
  • Strong track record of operational savings and process buildouts
  • 8+ years of experience in Supply Chain management in the consumer products and/or home goods space
