POSITION PURPOSE
Directs the Supply Chain organization consisting of sourcing, supplier development, procurement, material handling, and logistics. Manages and improves personnel, SOPs, and utilization of applicable modules of the ERP to obtain maximum efficiency and meet performance objectives. Responsibilities include contributing to a safety first culture, effective inventory management to meet production and financial expectations, contributing to product transitions, team development, and ensuring customer and regulatory compliance is met.
Partners with the Site Leader and Senior Management Team to develop and implement business strategy regarding the people, technology, and systems required to maintain company operations and competitiveness. Establishes long-term needs for information systems and plans strategy for developing and implementing new and existing systems, procedures, and partnerships. Ensures confidentiality and reliability of corporate data, proprietary information, and intellectual property in accordance with all company and regulatory policies including international trade compliance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES FOR THIS JOB
  • Optimization of warehouse and inventory management
  • Risk Management Planning/Execution
  • Accountable, and supportive member of leadership team
  • Aiding in the formulating and administering of organization policies.
  • Ensures team maintains the safety of personnel, product, and environment
  • Preparing and analyzing activities, costs, schedule, and forecast data to determine the department’s progress toward stated goals and objectives.
  • Supply chain management including vendor selection, supplier development, and procurement strategies.
  • Address problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical solutions.
  • Assuring that department personnel understand and productively utilize ERP.
  • Negotiates strategic, long term agreements to manage risk and promote collaboration with the supply chain.
  • Training and developing employees, direct and indirect
  • Participating in developing company short and long term goals and objectives
  • Contributing and promoting a continuous improvement environment that consistently generates process improvements and cost reductions.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
  • Certifications in any of the following preferred: continuous improvement, materials management, supply chain management, or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of relevant, progressive experience
  • 4 year degree required. Technical field preferred.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
  • Operational and continuous improvement application experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of supply chain management
  • Previous P&L responsibility is a plus.
  • Understand complexity of manufacturing low volume highly complex legacy aerospace products.
  • Understanding of good business practices and practical experience in developing systems and implementing change.
  • Executive level communication, management, and business skills.
  • Personnel development, coaching, motivating and management skills.
  • Advanced in ERP system operations. Epicor experience desirable.
  • Understand material management requirements of both make to stock and make to order manufacturing operations
