Director Of Supply Chain Operations

Grace De Monaco is searching for a motivated Director of Supply Chain Operations. This individual will be responsible for most of the material management functions of the company for procurement of fragrance solution, components, finished goods and other high-cost accessories.Developing internal SOPs for process controls relating to inventory management, purchasing, and planning, Logistics and warehouse fulfillment operations.

Responsibilities will include, however, are not limited to:

• Work with Sales and Marketing to develop forecast accuracy, support effective new product launches, and to surface the need for product discontinuation/SKU rationalization process.
• Work to elevate the Supply Chain process as the business evolves (with the “Best in Class” goal in mind)
• Leverage optimization models and carrier contractual agreements to reduce transportation costs of finished goods as well as raw/finishing materials.
• Set inventory strategy and manage the analysis to support improvements in service levels, lead time management, and costs. Set inventory target levels to deliver high service level to the customer, that is a sustainable process, at very low costs .
• Enable and manage a consensus forecasting process of sufficient accuracy and granularity so that it can serve as the basis for resource planning of materials.
• Create a network of suppliers to enable them to work with PD on vendor/manufacturer on new technologies/formulations (Supplier Selection/Optimization process)
• Oversee all warehouse & distribution activities.
• Communicate directly with high-level management of suppliers and/or the owners/founders.
• Developing and implementing S&OP processes and managing the meetings.
• Establish procedures and a process for handling customer service issues.
• Develop and manage a collaborative work environment within the product development team, 3PLs, logistics partners (incl customs brokers), and manufacturers. Acts as a change agent and promotes cross-functional collaboration, process efficiencies, and cross training within these areas for optimal results.
• Responsible for the end-to-end supply chain process from ensuring highest quality product and package development with most cost-effective measures to delivery of the final product and after-sale customer service
• L ogistics and procurement
• Drive best-in-class performance with 3PL operations and transportation in a disrupted inflationary environment.
• Daily review of inventory levels, monthly sales history, and future scheduled shipments to identify any necessary changes to current production plan.
• Partner with the Chief Innovation Officer to lead the Demand Forecasting and NPD processes.

Skills and Knowledge Required

• Global/International supply chain experience preferred.
• Have an established network of preferred suppliers and vendors.
• Financial aptitude with the ability to effectively build and manage a budget and P&L
• Demonstrate high proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrate a full understanding of the end-to-end supply chain, cost drivers, root cause analysis, and lean concepts.
