Studio Marketing And Events Coordinator (Temporary Position)

Overview
Essential Functions:
Responsible for the execution and logistics of STUDIO by Sally’s educational events. Provides support to the STUDIO leadership team to ensure event attendance for the salon that brings the STUDIO DIY experience to life.
Primary Duties

• Supports STUDIO salon and event-based marketing through merchant supported promotions, product launches, signage, samples, promotions/contests, etc. building brand awareness while collaborating with internal marketing team.
• Creates a playbook of event planning process and logistics to be used in all STUDIO store events.
• Leads the coordination and execution of all end to end process logistics associated with the running of successful educational DIY STUDIO events.
• Engages with local communities and ongoing outreach to support DIY consumers and professional stylist communities. Builds and maintains relations with STUDIO’s local community partners.
• Communicates event planning process with STUDIO team members, support center departments, store operations team and vendors where needed.
• Maintains ongoing communication and coordination with STUDIO stylists and stores to ensure smooth execution of the event, necessary training and support activities. Oversees the event execution to ensure that it occurs as intended.
• Grassroots marketing efforts to generate a following and provide support in the digital marketing strategy around STUDIO events.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to travel frequently
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 2 -5 years of event planning and project experience preferred
• Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams

Working Conditions /Physical Requirements

• The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, files, books, small parts; using a keyboard, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
• The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
