Primary Tasks

• Works closely with fellow front desk team members to deliver excellent customer service
• Coordinate schedules for team members
• Hire & train front desk team members
• Cover for Operations Manager when they are out of the studio
• Conduct ongoing coaching, training, and reviews

Requirements for the role - A great assistant manager believes in the therapeutic benefits of Massage Therapy, and has the following

• The Assistant Manager is responsible for covering for fellow team members unexpectedly and coordinating coverage at the front desk. The studio is open 9 am to 9 pm 7 days a week.
• Implement structure, policies, and procedures.
• Top-notch technical skills – Experience working with Microsoft programs.
• A Flexible Schedule - This position requires being able to work flexible days and hours; including nights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts that could include opening or closing the studio.
• MindBody Software experience a plus
• Organization – sometimes it can get busy at the front desk, being well organized is key.
• Ability to identify and problem solve, set expectation, goals, and delegate
• Competent trainer and motivator
• Driven to achieve goals – A successful Assistant Manager always has focus on daily, weekly, and quarterly goals and empowers the team to hit those benchmarks.
• A motivating attitude – We want all team members to be excited to come to work. A motivating Assistant Manager helps set this tone.
• Great communication skills – the Assistant Manager works directly with clients and staff daily. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with confidence in this role is key.
• Has excellent leadership skills; ability to lead a team in an organized and efficient way ensuring operations runs smoothly.
• Previous management/leadership experience.
