Brightly Software continues to grow and needs an amazing Senior Test Engineer. This is an excellent fit for those who thrive in a fast-paced environment. What you’ll be doing

• Help plan for “What happens if this fails?”
• Constantly seek opportunities to improve our quality and testing approach.
• Identify quality weaknesses, suggest solutions, and drive/initiate change.
• Maintain and improve the standards and processes defined by Brightly throughout the SDLC.
• Identity the proper targeting and code level of tests that will deliver the greatest ROI.
• Monitor testing throughout the release cycle.
• Guide and mentor teams on quality best practices.
• Design, implement, and maintain automation code in an Agile environment.
• Identify strategies for testing deliverables, including a balance of API automation, UI automation, and exploratory testing.
• Ensure quality at every step of the development lifecycle.
• Partner with and mentor software engineers and Product to:
• Help identify in-house technologies and practices that should be retired/replaced/improved.
• Help with manual or automated testing as needed.
• Be an advocate for quality and lead by example.
• Create and code tests concurrently with product development.
• Coordinate testing for releases.
• Explore new technologies and practices that can be brought in-house.

• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Understanding of the following:
• Minimum of 7 years driving quality initiatives, writing automation, following best industry standards.
• A passion for quality and evangelizing throughout the organization.
• Work core hours that align with the Eastern time zone.

SDLC – Software Development Life Cycle

Cypress UI Automation Framework or equivalent

SpecFlow API Automation Framework or equivalent

Performance Testing

BDD – Behavior Driven Development

TDD – Test Driven Development

Mentoring

Agile Methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

Bonus Points:

• You are familiar with a variety of testing techniques and strike a balance between automation, manual, and exploratory testing when assuring the quality of deliverables.
• You welcome the challenge of problems that no one has ever tried to solve before.
• You have experience in a senior or lead position.
