Software Qa Team Lead (Fully Remote In Select States)

The WebstaurantStore, a leader in supporting the food service industry for two decades, is looking for a Software Quality Assurance Team Lead to join our growing company. Onsite (Lancaster, PA or Tampa, FL) and Remote options are available.

As a QA Team Lead for the Customer Facing Development Team, you will:

o Act as team representative in place of manager as needed

o Be the SME on Enterprise level practices and processes

o Champion QA Process at an Enterprise level

o Serve as emergency backup for every project's primary QA

o Possess an overall understanding of architecture

o Lead Automation Engineers in Sprint Planning, Demos, Retrospectives

o Lead individual and group training efforts

o Conduct Peer Reviews for all team members

o Actively participate in Employee Reviews, Interviews, Team Evaluations

o Objectively give input into peers’ performance

o Work on special projects for Management

o Digest large amounts of information and make precise decisions accordingly

o Occasionally step in to manage, coordinate and take ownership of any Difficult/Critically Urgent/High Profile projects with little to no guidance

We are looking for a driven, motivated candidate who MUST have:

o At least 10 years’ experience in QA with progressively responsible roles

o Success with leading people

o Automation background with the ability to read Java scripts

o Strong SQL and database knowledge

o Proficiency in designing, developing and maintaining test cases and test suites

o Ability to perform Peer Reviews to ensure test cases are up to current Enterprise Standards

o Experience working in an Agile / Scrum environment

o Ability to train/mentor team members (through Senior Engineer level)

o Ability to assess project risk and present documentation to Project / Enterprise Leadership

o Ability to expand on usable Business Requirements (Acceptance Criteria)

o Ability to identify areas of Process Improvement and communicate that to Management

o Ability to form working relationships within the project teams

o A good understanding of multiple software testing methodologies

o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

o Flexibility to multitask and shift focus as needed

o Ability to work with a majority remote team

o Excellent communication and collaboration skills

o Excellent problem-solving skills and a positive can-do attitude

Bonus points if you have experience with:

o TFS/VSTS/ADO

o Selenium

• Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks.
