Sr Quality Engineer
Job Summary:
As a Senior Quality Engineer for WSA, you will drive and support preparation, commissioning and delivery of the processes, procedures and documentation of new and/or refurbished attractions, shows, and transportation systems to ensure sustainable safe experiences and environments for our Guest and Cast. The Senior Quality Engineer exercises broad discretion while providing required expert technical guidance to ensure that our attractions, transportation systems, and entertainment venues are compliant with applicable industry standards, codes, regulations and internal Disney standards.
The Senior Quality Engineer will report to Manager, Quality Engineering.
You Will:
On any given day, as a Senior Quality Engineer, you might:
- Perform required inspections, audits, and related efforts to support the annual Florida State affidavit program for assigned registered attractions.
- Support the preparation, commissioning, and delivery of the processes, procedures, and documentation of new and/or refurbished attractions, shows, and transportation systems.
- Establish and follow a framework for identifying the completion of all necessary documentation,including drawings, manuals, procedures, training, and certifications to permit and ensure the safe use of the system by cast members and guests.
- Participate in hazard analysis, design, and delivery reviews for compliance codes and standards.
- Establish and maintain excellent relationships with Project Team, Operations, Engineering
- Determine and/or review the content, frequency and priority of inspections and critical, equipment checks of parts, assemblies and systems based on the engineering design, calculations, loads, stresses, wear and duplications, potential risks and likelihoods following applicable industry standards and regulations.

- Assist in the development of compliance-related processes and procedures, including internal and external standards.
- Mentor fellow engineers and partners to drive best practices within the team and organization.
You Will Have:
Here’s what you need to be successful at this job:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Engineering, showing increasing levels of responsibility.
- Ability to work after hours and off-shift hours as required.
- Proven knowledge of EDMS, AutoCAD, and MS Office, Maximo, etc.
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present complex data relationship in concise and straight forward presentations.
- Experience with design, installation and commissioning of complex systems that meet regulatory and industry standards.
- Familiarity with industry regulatory, compliance standards and processes.
- Engineer in Training (EIT), or equivalent state certification/license.
- Ability to manage, balance, and prioritize multiple projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
It would be great if you also have:
- Previous experience with the amusement park industry
- Florida Professional Engineer’s License.
- American Society for Quality Certifications.
Required Education
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
Preferred Education
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Management
