Our team tests all Products and Technologies across the Edge & Applications Networking Engineering group. We develop automation infrastructure for product testing and collaborate with the rest of the Engineering teams to qualify features.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be tasked with solving critical software automation and verification problems in a distributed systems environment. Working with developers and other QA teams you will become an expert in system-wide automation infrastructure. You will ensure the exceptional performance of the products used to deliver the world's largest OTT events.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for:

• Creating and deploying automated system tests to replicate real world scenarios
• Reviewing product & system design requirements to verify accuracy of test plans and test cases.
• Contributing to system test plans to ensure highly effective test coverage & automation.
• Improving testing methodologies and procedures to enhance test automation efficiency.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have exposure or interest in working with internet technologies such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, etc.
• Enjoy working as a team, collaborating and solving problems with others.
• Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.
• Be passionate about solving large scale distributed systems problems.
• Have demonstrated experience in developing test automation in Python.

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $102,973 - $154,614/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
