Description

The Sr Manager, Business Development & Partnerships will lead an expanding function for Purple Carrot This role will build and expand our licensing relationships, develop strategic partnerships, lead our B2B distribution strategy, and create new relationships with key stakeholders within plant-based eating and adjacent interests.


Location

  • Purple Carrot HQ is in Needham, MA and prefers local candidates to work in a hybrid model. Alternative location is in the Chicago area which is close to one of our partner sites.


On the Plate

  • Be responsible for end-to-end performance of the function, with key objectives including Sales volume, revenue growth & EBITDA across our product lines
  • Build relationships with cross-functional partners across Marketing, Operations, Technology & People teams to provide an exceptional customer and employee experience and drive results
  • Provide integrated customer and competitor insights to the leadership team to inform broader company-wide strategy
  • Continue to build the function internally and represent growth needs across Purple Carrot
  • Be the quarterback of your business but partner throughout the organization to ensure shared vision and alignment
  • Support the Marketing Team with your ability to identify and develop strategic relationships
  • Effectively manage resources needed to deliver profitable growth; including budgeting, optimizing fixed cost expenses, and internal product creation
  • Define our growth strategy for Sales, with core components including inbound & outbound strategy, demand generation, product strategy, including devising ways to leverage our “multi-product” strategy in sales and target-setting

  • A highly data-driven approach to decision-making and strategy formation - i.e., comfortable with modeling goals in spreadsheets
  • Desire to stay abreast of emerging market trends and customer needs to expand relationships and trust
  • Ability to guide others to solve complex problems using sophisticated analytical thought to identify innovating sales solutions and previous ownership of P&L
  • Able to devise high-level strategy, execute and/or articulate opportunities as business cases with clearly defined opportunity/risk/resource needs
  • Experience building sales pipelines through a period of rapid expansion or from scratch
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Sales, Business Development or Partnerships with P&L ownership
