Job Summary:
The Full-Time Senior Lead supports the Retail Management Team by actively leading & participating in the merchandise operations and sales surrounding the show performances. The Senior Leads acts as a sales floor supervisor focusing the merchandise sales team on revenue generation and exceptional Guest service. Additionally, they are responsible for the development of retail skills of the sales team, maintenance of the visual standards as well as compliance with established policies and procedures. Serves as Leader on Duty in the absence of the Retail Manager and Assistant Manager, maintaining consistency in management approach to the establish policies and procedures. Overall, this role will be successful as a part of the Retail Management Team through effective and timely communication, leading by example on and off the sales floor for the part time sales teams, high level of organization and ability to creatively problem solve.
Areas of Responsibility
Sales & Guest Service
- Ensure that all guest’s transactions are handled in a fast, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Promote and emphasize all current sales promotions to guests and report to upper management feedback about their successes and opportunities.
- Report daily sales, promotions, and other pertaining information in the absence of a manager.
- Ambassador of the Disney Brand. Always uphold and conform to company standards, providing a positive example to others.
- Responsible for creating sales contests and other initiatives focusing on increasing sales and boosting cast morale.
- Communicates sales, targets, and promotions to the sales team daily through sales rallies. Motivate the team throughout the shift by updating on targets and focusing on the next selling period.
- Manage the in-theatre process and redemption of online sales and redemption and reconciliation of vouchers.
- Always provide a consistently high level of Guest Service, exceeding Guest expectations and dealing with Guest queries and resolving problems when needed.
Merchandising
- Communicate Merchandise ideas, concerns and feedback to Retail Manager, Assistant Manager and Senior Retail Manager.
- Ensuring all kiosk locations are clean, dusted, and tidy always.
- Responsible for the organization of the product at each selling location and making the necessary adjustments when the assortment changes.
- Assist in maintaining visual displays and the implementation of new displays.
- Ensure that signage is visible and up to date. All missing signage is replaced in a timely manner.
- Help to create an environment which facilitates guest’s needs and exceeds their expectations.
Operations/Finance
- Responsible for accuracy of all unopened boxes before pulling stock up to selling locations. Report all discrepancies in the proper timelines and procedures.
- Receive and put away stock deliveries from the warehouse.
- All other duties necessary or assigned by the Retail Management Team as needed.
- Always follow Cash Management & Loss Prevention policies & procedures. Assist management in audits of safe funds.
- Manage the sales team throughout the shift by delegating tasks during non-selling periods.
- Deputize for the Manager in their absence, ensuring consistency in management and daily business operations.
- Be able and train staff on how to effectively ring sales in the event the POS goes down.
- Assist in Management, Organization and Maintenance of stock rooms, cabinets, offices and selling locations.
- Ensure all Inventory Procedures are followed, and Shrink Standards are met and assist in performing weekly spot checks and monthly inventory audits.
- Maintain the store’s ERPLY POS system. Trouble shoot and assist sales members in their needs throughout the selling periods. Escalate any major issues to upper management in a timely manner.
- Responsible for pulling all the stock needed for each sales location.
Personnel
- Consistently coach and provide feedback for the sales team on their performance on and off the sales floor. Escalate to management any concerns so proper training, development and further feedback can be provided.
- The Assistant Retail Manager will lead the on boarding process for all new employees. The Senior Lead role will continue to provide feedback to upper management on their development during and post the initial onboarding process. They will partner with the Retail Management Team in additional new hire responsibilities as needed.
- Maintain good relations with the Retail Management Team and part-time sales team. This role’s effectiveness is working alongside the part time sales team to carry out the needs of leadership during the show shifts. Bringing both the successes and challenges the part time staff faces to the Retail Management team for solutions and implementations creating an inclusive sales environment.
- Develop team bonding activities during downtimes to develop the sales team and boost morale.
- Participate in the performance feedback process for formal year-end reviews for part-time sales team under the leadership of the Retail Manager and Assistant Retail Manager.
- Develop content for and participate in our annual cast member seminar.
- Maintain your weekly schedule of 32-40 hours a week.

Basic Qualifications
Level of experience, Qualifications and People Management experience

- Previous Experience in Retail and/or Sales Environment

- Full-Time position must be available to work between 32-40 hours on a weekly basis including matinees, evenings, weekends, holidays and attend scheduled management team meetings.

Preferred Qualifications
Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 60lbs.
The pay rate for this role in New York is $19.50 per hour. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
