Field Engineer - Oil, Gas, & Chemical

POSITION OVERVIEW

As an Field/Office Engineer II, you will be expected to be a job-site leader in health and safety, ensuring quality of reporting and workmanship, and that all engineering work is completed in a professional and ethical manner. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, your main functions will include contract administration, project planning and scheduling, and project reporting, and you will play an advisory role to Project Management for contractual, legal, and other project issues. We are looking for people who want to work out in the field on major construction projects.

LOCATION

This position will be based at our OGC Hub offices in Houston, TX. We have projects across the United States, in large cities and small towns, so our people must be willing to go where the work is. Job assignment location will be determined closer to your start date. Must be able to travel and relocate anywhere in the country, as frequently as business needs require.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management or related degree, or equivalent experience in a construction-related position
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies
• Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship, both now and in the future.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• 2+ years of related professional experience in the construction field
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment
• Ability to travel and relocate as required
• Strong work ethic - Willing to do what it takes to get the job done
