Universal Products & Experiences (UP&E) globally drives the expansion and elevation of NBCUniversal’s iconic collection of brands, intellectual properties, characters, and stories based on the company’s extensive portfolio of properties created by Universal Pictures, Illumination, DreamWorks Animation and NBCUniversal Television and Streaming. The division executes this through innovative physical and digital products, engaging retail and product experiences across our expansive global theme park destinations (for both owned and 3rd party IP), location-based venues, e-commerce product platforms, and retailers around the world. Summary

The Sr. Director of Strategy and Business Development will lead all aspects of strategic planning for the Universal Products & Experiences (UP&E) Group. The role is highly visible with a direct reporting line into UP&E’s CFO and strong accountability to the Group President. In addition, the Sr. Director will partner with key functional leaders internally, as well as across various NBCUniversal divisions, including Theme Parks and Film.

Responsibilities Include

• Lead role in identifying, evaluating, and operationalizing growth strategies in a rapidly evolving business unit
• Working with Executive cabinet to drive focus, prioritization and planning across UP&E business priorities
• Build strong relationships with internal leaders and stakeholders across UP&E; build credibility and foster open communication to ensure ideas, opportunities and concerns are being effectively communicated
• Develop and deliver comprehensive plans to support new business models / initiatives, including addressable market sizing, financial modeling, organizational assessment, retain ownership to execution
• Lead financial analysis and diligence for all UP&E acquisition opportunities and partner with NBCU Business development as required
• Partner with executive leadership in developing long range business plans and identifying operational opportunities

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Superior collaboration skills with ability to form relationships, influence, build consensus and drive projects among cross-functional stakeholders
• Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to operate autonomously and navigate through ambiguity
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience interpreting data to drive decision making
• Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate strategy, business development, investment banking and/or consulting within the following industries: Consumer Products, Media, Entertainment, E-commerce
• Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to build executive-level materials, distill concepts and effectively present findings
• Detail oriented with a high standard of quality

Additional Requirements

• Must be willing to adhere to all Company COVID-19 workplace safety policies and protocols.
• Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary range: $185,000 - $210,000 (bonus eligible)
