The Business and Portfolio Strategy Manager will work with the VP of Business and Portfolio Strategy, conduct research, gather market and competitor intelligence, and create actionable content to inform the strategic direction setting for RWE Clean Energy.
Responsibilities:

• Provide qualitative and quantitative analysis in support of growing the renewables business
• Work on diverse business strategy topics requiring the analysis, interpretation, and presentation of data
• Lead specific strategy-related initiatives
• Monitor renewables and energy industries for competitive and regulatory intelligence and relevant technology developments
• Develop success milestones and metrics
• Assist VP in synthesizing and evaluating business and function strategies and analyze the enterprise-level impact on RWECE business plans
• Lead interviews with stakeholders to understand trends, priorities, and issues to be addressed
• Work independently and as part of project teams
• Collaborate with Commercial and Development team members to gather inputs into strategic planning efforts
• Identify business issues and opportunities; bring data and insights forward to the organization
• Present research findings and recommendations to the Vice President and other members of the team in a report or presentation format

Qualifications:

• Routine business travel is expected from time to time
• Specific experience in a strategy and/or corporate development role preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or economics required
• Attention to detail in data gathering and analysis
• Ability to research and synthesize information and draw conclusions
• Minimum 5 years experience required in the energy industry and/or management consulting, with renewable energy experience a plus
• Ability to do independent research and utilize market information services
• MS Office proficiency
• Collaboration; ability to work as part of a team and as an individual contributor depending on business need
• Strong verbal and written communications skills

Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in New York is $124,720.00 - $187,080.00. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
