Job Description
ROLE SUMMARY
This is a Sr. Director position within Global Security’s API Directorate. Responsible for leading a team of global analysts to develop strategic intelligence to guide, initiate and assist Global Security investigations; to collaborate and enhance compliance investigations through better integration of related compliance intelligence and information; develop and provide input into collaborative analysis of online and traditional manufacture, distribution, and sales of counterfeit medicines as well as support other strategic intelligence needs; assist in formulation of strategic planning; and help focus through analytical results, GS support of business unit needs and Pfizer operations across the world. Leads, oversees, tasks and organizes strategic projects. Manages intelligence analysts to ensure both GS strategic projects and regional tactical investigations support projects are completed as assigned and on schedule. Ensures strategic and tactical projects support GS goals and objectives. Oversees supply chain incident management process supporting PGS. Collaborates with regional senior directors and appropriate business operations to ensure the protection of Pfizer’s Colleagues, property, and products.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead, manage, supervise and make decisions associated with the Global Security Strategic Intelligence. Supports the intelligence needs of Global Security mission. This position sets the global strategy for Strategic Intelligence solutions which may be utilized by and support Global Operations, PGS, and R&D.
Lead, manage, and supervise the regional intelligence analysts which support regional intelligence/investigative needs and strategic intelligence needs globally. Collaborates with GS, Compliance division and impacted Business Units to ensure overarching support of their mission.
Utilize relevant input from Global Security Points of Contact (GSPOC’s) who reside in each region and the Site Security Officer Network to assess threats and provide intelligence guidance.
Serve a GSPOC for the Online Disruption program (OLDP) and the Online B2B program. Maintain and manage continuity and interaction with internet service providers and key internet companies to ensure continued collaboration on illegal internet pharmacies. Ensure proactive efforts continue to advance to address this threat.
Support and collaborate with all business operations to address security concerns.
  • Accountable for all strategic planning for the Global Security division which includes ESG metric reporting to the ELT, project management, product investigation and product security, analytics to support all global security initiatives
  • Responsible for ELT and Board of Directors reporting on GS programs, and outcome metrics development for GS reporting to business to demonstrate return on investment and to justify future budget requests.
  • Oversees Supply Chain Incident Management for the company. This includes coordination with key business entities responsible for supply chain and management incidents which resulted in loss or theft of product. Responsible for program review and ensuring government reporting requirements are met and program SOPs are up to date and reflect current operations and regulatory responsibilities. Ensures continued participation of the US Government Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) program.
  • Accountable for all internal and external communications for global security including external engagement, education and advocacy. Solely responsible for leading, developing, measuring and adjusting the patient and HCP educational campaign to reduce the impact of counterfeit medicines on patient health. Additionally, the role works closely with PX and CA leaders to develop media engagement and internal colleague engagement strategies. This role regularly joins conferences and engages with external groups including the government at the Federal, State and Local levels as part of an overall global outreach strategy.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must Have:
  • Ability to assimilate large amounts of data and produce executive summaries with decision recommendations

  • 15+ years’ of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Ability to lead a team to conduct reviews of policy papers and complex texts
  • Ability to create and assess business case arguments for future projects and resource enhancements
  • Demonstrated management experience
  • Well-spoken, calm and possesses both a passion for excellence and the ability to inspire confidence
  • Prioritizes to respond to a myriad of issues based on priority and timing
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly, create succinct cogent briefing papers
  • Demonstrated ability to present publicly to small and large groups
  • Capable of managing multiple investigative matters in multiple foreign countries on a daily basis
  • Is a self-starter, capable of working independently or as part of a team
Nice To Have:
  • Background in Pharmaceutical industry, strong understanding of business operations and/or law enforcement-intelligence
  • Master’s degree or other advanced degree
  • Background in or experience with online enforcement
  • Focus on law enforcement, intelligence, homeland security, or criminal justice
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Physically able to respond to emergency situation without delay
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, GO, HR, PGS, BT, SSO Network, Country Managers, Law Enforcement Agencies
Supervision:
  • Direct supervisor for 5 FTEs and multiple contractors.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
  • Regular national and international travel required up to 50%
  • Global Security work requires the successful candidate be available after normal business hours for travel and emergency issues
  • Global Security team is located around the world and operates in numerous time zones. Successful candidate may need to adjust schedule or engage colleagues for regular business beyond normal east coast business hours

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $199,500.00 to $332,500.00. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 25.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Salary range does not apply to the Tampa, FL location.
Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and/or eligibility.
