Job Description
Job Summary


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced sales professional to join our organization as the Director of Strategic Accounts. As the Director, you will be responsible for driving the strategic direction of our sales accounts at the national or international level while leading a high-performing team. Your primary focus will be on expanding our market presence, establishing strong relationships with key clients, and partnering closely with our PIP Regional Teams (Regional Sales Directors (RSD’s), Regional Sales Managers (RSM’s), Vertical Specialists (VS’s) Strategic Account Specialists (SAS’s) and Reps to provide exceptional service at the local level.


Essential Duties


As the Director of Strategic Accounts, you will be expected to:


  • Participate in industry conferences and meet on a regular basis with C-Level personnel at key distributors.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, and promote a culture of integrity within the sales team.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team, providing guidance and coaching to promote individual and team performance.
  • Deliver sales objectives within the assigned strategic accounts.
  • Lead quarterly report out of the team’s performance to members of the Company’s management team.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in the organization to develop strategic sales programs to drive growth & profitability.
  • Leverage sales tools & technologies to identify and implement solutions that enhance sales performance.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities within assigned strategic accounts through analysis of industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
  • Analyze & report on sales personnel initiatives to develop metrics and evaluate team and individual performance.
  • Complete other ad-hoc activities as required.

  • Talent Management - Proven track record of leading and inspiring a high performing sales team to achieve targets and exceed expectations.
  • Business Acumen – Proven ability to manage multi-million-dollar customer programs and make sound decisions that benefit both the customer and the organization.
  • Strategic thinker - Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative sales strategies.
  • Agility – Proven ability to “think on your feet” and make decisions with limited information.
  • Technical - Prior experience leveraging CRM software to manage relationships, focusing contacts, activities, and opportunities; Prior experience with Tour de Force (TdF) strongly preferred.
  • Communication - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate with clients at all levels.


Education & Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of prior experience in a Sales leadership role within the PPE, Safety Industry, or the Industrial market strongly preferred.

  • Ability to travel as required meeting the needs of our customers (up to 50%)
